Intwari means courageous in Kinyarwanda. This is a pilot project of Global GAIN and the Akilah Institute. We are engaging graduates or soon-to-be graduates in a unique internship focused on teaching communications, social media, fundraising and development, personal leadership, political leadership, advocacy, civic engagement, gender equity globally. Our first cohort has committed to this work for a year. All Global GAIN social media accounts are managed by members of the Intwari Women cohort.
For many girls, puberty marks an accelerating trajectory into inequality. Project Soar’s academic, activity and and athletic-based curriculum empowers girls.

Monique Kabugho Murandya is a political organizer and leader. She founded DRC HOME, a place for displaced, orphaned, and otherwise abandoned women and children in Beni, Congo.
Rwanda Women’s Network
Rwanda Women’s Network (RWN) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion and improvement of the socio-economic welfare of women in Rwanda through enhancing their efforts to meet their basic needs. RWN mission is delivered through five key focus areas: Health Care and Support Gender Based Violence Response and Prevention Socio-economic empowerment Education and Knowledge Sharing Governance and Leadership.

Working within local communities, AHF promotes self-sufficient economic independence of women by promoting traditional and cultural skills.
Resonate creates partners in East Africa to integrate leadership and confidence-building workshops into existing programming to turn opportunity into action.
Ingoma Nshya Drum Troop
Ingoma Nshya is the first-ever Rwandan drum group comprised of women. They believe culture is a driving force for healing and a new future.
A Rwanda-based campus for women, this college combines intense academics and a focus on leadership giving women the skills and values for the future.
