Activating the Pipeline

Global GAIN
activates power.

We provide professional development and career support for women and underrepresented communities who power democracy, elections, and advocacy. We champion public leadership — helping people see politics as a viable career, from running for office and serving in government to the advocacy, organizing, and infrastructure that make it all possible.

Protecting US Democracy

The Problem We're Solving

Everyone has a plan to elect more women. Almost no one is building the pipeline of campaign managers, field directors, policy analysts, communications directors, C3 coordinators, and voter education organizers who make it possible for women and underrepresented leaders to run, win, and govern.

Democracy deserves the same investment in leadership, talent, and people infrastructure that every other sector takes for granted.

Democracy Leadership

In 2011, I arrived in Rwanda as NDI's country director knowing only two things about the country. Fourteen years later, I am still there — transformed by what I found: a country that rebuilt itself through women's leadership and proved what is possible.
